Students Come First
At Roantree Maths, we cater for all levels and years as students prepare for their junior and leaving certificates. We provide individual or group grinds at competitive rates. By providing exam focused lessons with comprehensive notes and homework, our students will gain confidence and achieve better results.

Further to our weekly grinds facility, we provide camps over mid-term and easter to get students exam ready.
MEET OUR TEAM
JOAN ROANTREE
Founder
Joan holds a BSc. MSc in Mathematics. She brings experience from the Financial sector where she worked in the design and application of life assurance systems, going on to lecture maths/applied maths at 3rd Level.
CRAIG KENNEDY
Co-Founder
Craig graduated from Trinity College Dublin with first class honours in Mechanical Engineering. He now works as a data analyst in financial services, and has over 8 years of teaching experience.
SAOIRSE KENNEDY
Co-Founder
Saoirse is a final year medical student at UCD. She has 6 years experience teaching at Roantree Maths. She achieved 625 points in the Leaving Certificate. She has a passion for teaching and her classes are highly focused on how to approach the JC and LC examinations.
HANNAH

My name is Hannah and I am in my fourth year studying medicine at Trinity College Dublin. I was a student of Roantree Maths Grinds in sixth year and it improved my grades massively. I hope to share the skills and strategies that helped me achieve high grades in maths, and show students how to find enjoyment in studying the subject!
MARTHA

My name is Martha and I’m a 23 year old student of Economics and Spanish in Trinity College Dublin! I did my leaving cert in 2020 and I achieved 625 points with a total of 7 H1s. My experience of teaching at Roantree Maths so far has only furthered my love for maths and I hope that I can help my students to look forward to their maths classes in school the same way I used to.

Peter graduated from Trinity College with a first class honours in Mathematics. More recently he completed his masters in data and computational science and now works as a data scientist for BT.

My name is Ella and I am a 4th year medical student in UCD. I sat my Leaving Cert in 2021, receiving a H1 in maths. I love teaching and believe with a bit of fun everyone can enjoy learning maths! Roantree Maths helped me become the best maths student I could be, and I hope I can help more students feel the same!

I’m Kayla and I am in third year of Medicine at UCD. I attended classes at Roantree Maths Grinds for 6 years before I started tutoring. I achieved 625 points in my Leaving Cert with a total of 8 H1s including in Maths and Applied Maths. I teach both Maths and HPAT here and love getting to know all my students!

I am a third year medicine student in UCD. I achieved the 91st percentile in HPAT in 2020 and have been helping HPAT students prepare for three years now. I aim to give my students a strong stance on exams tactics and coping with variable question styles. Using detailed question walkthroughs and many examples students will build understanding and familiarity with this complex exam, reducing stress, increasing clarity and overall enabling applicants to perform to their best on the day. I had a fully successful group last year all achieving above the 88th percentile.
I hope to help as many people as I can to achieve their goal of
studying medicine just as I did.
